In a bowl mix together one can of refried black beans and one can of whole black beans.
I mixed the two together because I want the creaminess of the refried beans and the texture of the whole beans in the dip!
Next add 1/2 a cup of cream cheese…
1 teaspoon of garlic powder…
1 heaping teaspoon of chili powder…
And a couple of these smokey and spicy chipotle peppers!
I chopped up three and added them in seeds and all. If you would like a little more heat in your dip go ahead and toss in a few more!
Next add a handfull of chopped green onions…
And lastly throw in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese!
Give this bowl a good stir and taste it to see if it needs any more seasoning.
I thought it could use a little salt but you might want to add more chili pepper. Trust your taste buds!
Transfer your dip to a oven safe dish…
And top it with a bit more cheddar cheese.
Pop this into a 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes or until it’s nice and bubbly!
When it’s done you could be a teenager about it and dip your chip right into the pipping hot dish…
Or you could be a grown up and grab your self a fancy plate and a place mat.
There’s a perfect time and place for everything, even canned bean dip!
