Two guys, two phones with google maps, and one navigation system in the car.
We still were a little confused on how to get there.
Our weekend started off on the right foot when we found this little restaurant in Paso Robles.
Awesome take on a cobb salad, and one of my favorite beers.
Our pretty beach house for the weekend…
And the beach we woke up to every morning.
Shannon made us all a super yummy breakfast our first morning there…
Toasted bread topped with avocados, tomatoes, and perfectly poached eggs.
We washed this beautiful meal down with a very big glass of orange juice. There might have been a little something else in that orange juice…
Matt then showed us something other than salsa to dip our tortilla chips in.
Ryan bought his first surf board…
Then promptly got his first surfing injury.
Nothing a new pipe and some fancy new tabacco couldn’t cure!
A super quick breakfast Shannon and I put together.
Salami for breakfast? It’s a “do”.
We went vintage store shopping…
And found a few things we just couldn’t live without.
Yes, I think that will look great in the living room!
I love looking through old cookbooks.
I’ve been searching high and low for a good cottage-lima bean loaf recipe and I found it in here!
We visited a mission…
And Shannon couldn’t resist doing a cartwheel on that gorgeous green lawn.
I would have done one too if I knew how.
I love places like this…
Because they always have chili cheese fries that look like this.
We take our ordering seriously…
And we take our curly fries and toasted sandwiches even more serious.
A five hour car ride can make a person hungry and a bit crazy, so stopping at Pea Soup Andersons on the way home seemed like a good idea at the time.
The pea soup is good and the people watching is even better!
A wonderful weekend we’ll talk and laugh about for the rest of our lives.
We love you guys a ton!
