I got the basic brownie recipe from a cookbook called “Treasury of Cookies and Brownies” that I received as a wedding gift 12 years ago. Kinda weird I’ve been married that long considering I’m still in my early 20′s…

In a large bowl mix together melted butter, sugar, and vanilla.

After that is blended, mix in your eggs one at a time.

In a medium bowl whisk together flour, coco powder, baking powder, and salt.

Now add your coco mixture to your butter mixture & use all of your willpower to not eat this amazing batter right out of the bowl.

Oh go ahead, lick the spoon…

Here comes the good stuff…

Stir in 1 cup of chopped walnuts,

and 1 cup of semi sweet chocolate chucks.

Beat it you teeny little chocolate chips. The chucks have got this covered.

Pour into a buttered 13 by 9-inch baking pan.

It just gets better and better…

Swirl in your Jet Puff with a spoon. Don’t worry about it looking super fancy, just have fun with it!

It’s Jet Puff for goodness sakes!

Pop into a 350 degree oven for 40 -45 minutes (mine were perfect at 42 min.)

I wish you could see the four little boys behind me as I took this picture. They were DYING to get their paws on this.

After your brownies have cooled completely (or you’ve gotten tired of your kids asking for one) cut into them with a plastic knife. Brownies cut neater with plastic vs. stainless steel knives.

I have no idea why. Something for Mr. Wizard to answer.

Now that is what I call a brownie. These should tame even the craziest of chocolate cravings.

Enjoy!

Yum sounds amazing except I don’t have Jet puff over here….what else can I use?

    • Melissa says:

You could totally make your own “Jet Puff” by heating about 16 large marshmallows + 2 tsp of corn syrup on top of a double broiler. If you try that let me know how it goes! I googled the answer.:)

Gotta ask … (did I miss it???) … how much flour do you use? These look amazing! And I’d love to see a picture of the four little boys behind you!!!

  3. Melissa says:

Yikes!! I must have forgot to add that here! Thank you for catching that Terry! 3/4 cup of flour.:)
