Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and drop your pasta in it. Reserve a cup of the pasta water before you drain your spaghetti.
In a hot pan fry 5 pieces of chopped up bacon. When everything is nice and crispy put your bacon to the side…
But don’t you dare pour that bacon fat down the drain! Instead saute one diced onion in your pan…
then throw in two cloves of mined garlic.
Next add one cup of frozen peas and let everything saute together for another 5 minutes.
Now in your hot pasta pot combine your spaghetti and sauteed vegetables.
Add your bacon…
and the cup of reserved pasta water.
Now for the good stuff!
Add half a cup of sour cream…
and a couple big handfuls of parmesan cheese.
Crack in a bit of fresh pepper…
Now give everything a good stir.
Don’t mind me, I’m just going to go ahead and stir in a little (a lot!) more cheese.

- 1 package of spaghetti
- 1 cup of hot pasta water
- 5 pieces chopped bacon
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 cup of peas
- half cup of sour cream
- parmesan and fresh black pepper to taste
