Have you ever browned butter before? Dont worry, it’s super easy!
Throw your butter in a pot and melt it over over high to medium heat. While whisking it let your butter continue to cook until it develops a light brown hue. You’ll also notice the wonderful nutty aroma which tastes so great in chocolate chip cookies!
While your butter is cooling down let’s get our dry ingredients going.
Whisk together 2 1/4 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda and 1 teaspoon of salt.
In another bowl with your hand mixer (or super fancy stand mixer) combine 3/4 cup of white sugar, 3/4 cup of brown sugar, your browned butter and 1 teaspoon of vanilla.
Now add two eggs to your butter and sugar mixture.
After that gradually beat in your flour mixture.
Time to stir in a whole bag of semi-sweet chocolate chunks and 1 cup of toffee bits.
Go ahead, taste it!
Dollop your cookie dough onto a prepared baking sheet and pop it onto a 375 degree oven for EXCATLY 10 minutes. No more no less!
I know the cookies might look a little undercooked at first…
But just let them finish baking on the hot sheet for another 10 minutes.
I guarantee your cookies will be crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Just keep your eye on that clock!
One bite of these cookies will turn you into a brown butter believer!!
Grab a glass of milk and enjoy!
