Get a pot of water boiling and cook up your pasta!

Next, heat some olive oil in a pan and sauté half an onion…

And some cubed ham steak.

Ham steak is great for quick dinners because it’s already precooked. We just need to warm it up a bit!

Once your ham and onion have cooked down go ahead and add a bundle of fresh chopped asparagus…

And three ears of fresh corn to your hot pan.

Could you use canned corn instead? Sure, but corn is in season right now and the fresh kernels give this pasta a nice crunch!

Sauté your veggies for just a few minutes then add two cloves of minced garlic to the pan…

And bit of salt and pepper.

When you can start to smell your garlic cooking (about a minute) throw in 1 cup of chicken stock…

And a half cup of heavy cream!

Make sure to scrape all of the good stuff off the bottom of your pan!

Top this sauce off with a handful of fresh chopped basil…

And let this pretty pan of creamy veggies and ham simmer for just a few minutes more.

Slice a loaf of bread and grab a glass of wine because dinner is served!

Loved this dinner! I had all the ingredients except a ham steak at home, so I made it veggie-style…adding sun dried tomatoes for a little something extra.
